Sometimes adding text to artwork empowers the subject matter depicted, and that is my attempt in this piece. I abstracted the image of the clothes pin to be less recognizable and then added the word "dry" to it to create a connection between the word itself and the image it depicts. The presence of the word establishes a double meaning; it can be an imperative command, telling the clothes pin what it should do, or it can be descriptive of what the clothes pin has already done.
