The influence of ordinary objects in my life is a central theme found throughout my work. In this piece I attempt to capture that concept through the portrayal of my car key. I find it fascinating how minutely intricate the workings of a car are, but if there is one small piece that does not function properly, the entirety of the vehicle suffers; still, all of those intricacies are rendered useless if that which brings to life all of them is not present-the key!
